Plumbing That Respects Your Home and Your Time

We started Harmoni Tukang because too many households were being quoted high, left with a mess, or called back for parts that should have been on the van the first time.

How Harmoni Tukang Came Together

Harmoni Tukang started in 2019 in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, out of a straightforward observation: household plumbing work in the city was either too vague in pricing or too unpredictable in scope. Jobs would run longer than expected, require unplanned return trips, or leave homeowners unsure about what had actually been done.

Our founding team — two tradespeople who had each spent a decade working on residential fit-outs across the Klang Valley — decided to build a small plumbing practice around a different approach. Each service would be scoped tightly, priced before the visit, and completed in one appointment wherever possible.

By 2021, word spread across Bangsar, Damansara Heights, and Cheras. Households kept calling back, not because something went wrong the first time, but because they knew what to expect and could plan around it. That's what Harmoni means in this context: things in their right place, working as they should.

Our Mission

To make home plumbing in Kuala Lumpur something a household can plan for — with known costs, a fixed scope, and a single competent visit.

Our Values

  • Transparency first. Prices are stated before booking. No additions without discussion.
  • Prepared visits. Common parts are on the van. We aim to close the job in one trip.
  • Written records. Every visit ends with a brief note of what was done and what to monitor.
  • Tidy work areas. We protect surfaces and leave the space as we found it.

Quality Standards & Safety Protocols

Water Shut-off Verification

Before any fitting is removed or pipe opened, we confirm the correct isolator or main stop-cock is closed and pressure has dropped. No shortcuts on this step.

Surface Protection

Drop cloths go down before work starts. Cabinet interiors and floor tiles are covered where tools or parts may be placed. Work areas are cleaned before we leave.

Post-Visit Written Notes

Each visit ends with a handover note: what was done, any items we noticed that were outside the current scope, and any follow-up the homeowner should consider.

Pressure Testing

Any new pipe connection or repaired joint is pressure-checked before we pack up. Renovation coordination jobs include a full pressure test across the new layout before tiling.

Registered Trade Practice

Harmoni Tukang operates under Malaysian plumbing trade registration requirements. All practitioners comply with SPAN (Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara) guidelines for residential water services.

Contractor Communication

For renovation jobs, we communicate directly with your general contractor on timing and pipe routing to prevent scheduling conflicts and rework on site.

Residential Plumbing in Kuala Lumpur — Done With Care

Household plumbing in a dense urban environment like Kuala Lumpur has specific challenges. Water pressure varies by floor and building age. Older properties in areas like Bangsar often have galvanised pipes that require different handling than modern UPVC or CPVC systems. Renovation timelines are tight, and a plumbing miscommunication can hold up tiling and finishing by days.

Harmoni Tukang was built to address these specific situations with focused service types rather than a broad "call us for anything" model. Each of our three services — faucet and hose work, full drain inspection, and renovation coordination — is scoped around what households in KL actually need, with parts carried on the van and a written note left after every job.

We work across Bangsar, Damansara Heights, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Cheras, and surrounding areas. If you have a mid-renovation water line question, a faucet that's been dripping for weeks, or drains you've never had formally checked, we're the team to call.
